Kalyana Mitta Kick Off Update
Great News! Our Kalyana Mitta Kickoff meeting on Saturday, Feb 12 was a great success with three KM groups established with Coordinators and Participants and two more KM groups seeking Coordinators.
 
These three established KM groups should be holding their Kick Off meetings in March.
 
 

This KM group plans to meet monthly and focuses on aging mindfully, caring for aging parents and loved ones and providing support and compassion to the KM group members. Buddhist teachings and reflections on the impermanence of the body and our relationship with death will also be shared and discussed.

To join: please contact Pat Komarow (719 375-1922) or Matt Hane (719 963-1031). They will get you in touch with the appropriate Coordinator. The coordinator will share information about meeting times and locations.

This KM groups plans to meet twice monthly:  once per month to mindfully hike together at locations across the Front Range and once per month to discuss the Dharma as related to nature and the environment. Hikes will be kept easy to moderate in difficulty. Our goal is to reinforce our practice and our understanding of the Dharma by accessing nature's gifts, blessings, and guidance.

The KM group plans to meet monthly and focuses on the opportunities and challenges of creating and sustaining a practice in your 20s and 30s.

Dharma and Parenting
The intent of this KM group is to explore topics related to mindful parenting, introducing children to meditation and supporting a family based practice. 

Dharma and Sustaining a Regular Meditation Practice
The intent of this KM group is to deepen knowledge of the dharma and to apply the teachings to sustain a regular mediation practice.

Dharma and the 12 Steps
The intent of this KM group is to support anyone interested in the 12 Steps and how this encompasses Buddhist living.
